Assetto Corsa EVO Adds Hotstints and Pitstops

Assetto Corsa EVO hits Version 0.9 with global special events, hotstint leaderboards, and the long-awaited arrival of mandatory pit stop rules.

Assetto Corsa EVO Adds Hotstints and Pitstops

Kunos Simulazioni just rolled out Version 0.9 for Assetto Corsa EVO in Early Access, shifting the focus squarely toward structured competition. While earlier builds focused on tire contact patches and weather simulation, this update gives competitive drivers a reason to push the limits against global leaderboards.

The centerpiece of the update is the new Special Events Hub. Drivers can now log into weekly hotlap shootouts and multi-lap hotstints with fixed setup baselines, testing consistency across fluctuating track temperatures. More importantly, multiplayer servers now support mandatory pit stops with tire compound requirements and refuel windows.

Key Additions In Version 0.9
• Special Events Leaderboards: Time trial and hotstint challenges with real-time global split standings.
• Mandatory Pitstops: Configurable pit windows, minimum stationary times, and compound switch regulations.
• Tire Model Tweaks: Enhanced thermal degradation when sliding over curbs under heavy lateral load.

Stepping Up The Competitive Pace

Kunos is signaling that AC EVO is ready for league organizers. With leaderboards now tracking sector deltas down to the thousandth of a second and pit strategy in play, expect major esports series to start testing their winter qualifying formats on the new platform.
