Most sim racers know Sim-Lab for building the P1-X aluminum profile cockpits used by pro esports teams everywhere. Today at the SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt, the Dutch company showed off its newest piece of electronics: the Sim-Lab GTSL Ultimate Steering Wheel.
Built for endurance GT and prototype racing, the GTSL Ultimate combines a thick carbon fiber front plate with a machined aluminum back housing so there is zero creaking or bending under heavy force feedback. You can follow the full hardware specs on Sim-Lab's website.
Shaped specifically for long endurance stints, the contoured rubber grips support your palms so your hands do not cramp up during two-hour races.
Every button and rotary dial on the faceplate is RGB-backlit, letting you color-code your pit limiter, headlights, brake bias, and traction control inside SimHub or RaceDirector.
On the back sit crisp magnetic shifter paddles paired with dual clutch paddles for standing starts and quick gear shifts.
Testing at the Sim-Lab Booth
Sim-Lab has the GTSL Ultimate bolted onto its demo cockpits in Hall 12 at Messe Frankfurt all weekend so drivers at the show can put it through its paces.
