Next Level Racing Launches F-GT Shift Cockpit

Next Level Racing has officially launched the F-GT Shift, a new convertible sim racing cockpit built for drivers who jump between open-wheel formula cars and upright GT3 or rally machinery on the same rig. Priced at $599 USD , the F-GT Shift replaces traditional bolted adjustment plates with a tool-free quick-release latch system.

In older hybrid cockpits, moving from a reclined single-seater posture to an upright touring car seat meant grabbing an Allen key and unbolting heavy frame rails. On the F-GT Shift, releasing the side latches lets you pivot the seat angle, wheel deck, and pedal tray between Formula, GT, and Hybrid positions in under five seconds.

5-Second Position Switching
  • Tool-free quick-release levers adjust seat, wheel, and pedal geometry on the fly.
  • Switches between low-slung Formula, upright GT, and balanced Hybrid seating postures.
  • Reinforced 50mm steel tubing supports mid-range direct drive wheelbases and load cell pedals.

Eliminates the 20-minute wrenching session between Formula and GT race series.

Included Shifter Arm & Breathable Seat
  • Ships with a dedicated shifter and handbrake support arm that mounts on either the left or right side.
  • Reclining bucket seat uses breathable mesh padding to prevent heat buildup during endurance stints.
  • Pre-drilled mounting decks fit Fanatec, Moza, Thrustmaster, and Logitech hardware out of the box.

Available starting late October 2026 through global retail partners.

Why Pedal Height Matters When Switching Classes

True formula ergonomics are about more than just leaning the seat back; your heels need to sit higher, closer to hip level, so your leg pushes horizontally into the load cell brake pedal. By raising the pedal tray and dropping the seat pan simultaneously when locked into Formula mode, the F-GT Shift gives multi-discipline drivers realistic posture without needing two separate rigs.
