Factory Seat Brings Free Career Mode to LMU

Factory Seat has updated its free career mode companion app for Le Mans Ultimate to v1.3, adding team contracts, sponsor goals, and Linux support.

Factory Seat Brings Free Career Mode to LMU

While online daily splits are thriving in Le Mans Ultimate, one of the most frequent requests from single-player endurance fans has been a structured offline career mode. Now, a free community-built companion app called Factory Seat is filling that gap—and its latest v1.3 update even adds support for Linux sim rigs.

Available as a free open-source download on GitHub, Factory Seat runs alongside Le Mans Ultimate without modifying a single core game file or triggering online anti-cheat checks.

Climbing From LMGT3 Rookie to Factory Hypercar

You start your career at the bottom of the endurance ladder in LMGT3 or LMP3 machinery, signing team contracts, picking personal sponsors with race-by-race finish targets, and building manufacturer reputation. Before each round, Factory Seat gives you the exact Race Weekend settings (circuit, stint length, weather, and time multiplier) to launch inside Le Mans Ultimate. Once you cross the finish line, the app automatically reads LMU's local XML result file to update championship points, team principal messages, and contract offers toward a top-class Hypercar seat.

Why Companion Apps Are Thriving in Modern Sims

Modern physics and multiplayer engineering take years of studio bandwidth, which often leaves single-player career wrappers on the back burner. By exposing clean local result files and telemetry outputs, sims like Le Mans Ultimate empower community developers to build deep progression systems that keep offline drivers hooked between online league nights.
