Dutch engineering shop Heusinkveld built its reputation on bulletproof load-cell pedals, but its booth at the 2026 SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt is drawing crowds for two completely different pieces of cockpit hardware: the Heusinkveld One SC steering wheel (€849) and the production-ready DisplayDash (€389).
Both releases tackle practical frustrations that sim racers deal with every week—heavy steering wheels that dampen fine road texture, and button boxes plastered with peeling label-maker stickers. Full technical specifications are live on Heusinkveld's official website.
Heusinkveld One SC: Built Specifically for Simucube 3
Developed in direct partnership with Simucube, the Heusinkveld One SC integrates Simucube's native wireless power and data link for Simucube 3 wheelbases. Because power flows directly through the quick release, the wheel carries zero internal lithium battery and requires no dangling USB cable—even while driving a bright 4.3-inch Simucube touchscreen and 23 RGB telemetry LEDs.
On the Frankfurt demo rigs, the first thing you notice is how light the wheel feels when changing direction through fast chicanes. Weighing just 1,060 grams despite packing a full screen, dual-clutch paddles, and CNC aluminum construction, the low rotational inertia lets every subtle curb vibration and front-tire scrub come straight through to your hands.
- Simucube 3 Native: Cable-free, battery-free power and telemetry over the Simucube 3 interface.
- Display & LEDs: 4.3-inch high-contrast touchscreen surrounded by 23 programmable RGB shift/flag LEDs.
- Featherweight Build: 1,060g total weight preserves high slew rate and fine FFB detail.
- All-Metal Enclosure: 12 push-rotary encoders, 4 tactile pushbuttons, and a 7-way funky switch.
- Dynamic SimHub Labels: Center display renders live digital text labels right beside each physical knob.
- Mounting: €389 incl. VAT, with an optional €59 adjustable rig mounting bracket.
Why the DisplayDash Solves the Sticker Mess
Anyone who drives multiple categories knows the headache of memorizing what twelve unmarked rotary knobs do when switching from an iRacing oval car to a Le Mans Ultimate Hypercar or an ACC GT3 car. Instead of sticking paper labels onto your button box, the DisplayDash places a high-resolution SimHub screen directly between two vertical columns of physical rotary encoders.
As soon as you load into a new sim or switch cars, SimHub automatically updates the on-screen text blocks next to each knob—labeling them Brake Bias, MGU-K Deploy, or TC Cut for your prototype, and swapping them to Engine Map, ABS, and Wiper the moment you hop into a GT3 car.
