iRacing has updated its online store to display car and track prices both with and without Value Added Tax (VAT) for customers in countries where the tax applies. The change allows international players to see the full cost of additional content before reaching checkout. Importantly, iRacing has confirmed that no prices have increased or decreased as part of this update.
Previously, the iRacing store displayed vehicle and circuit prices without VAT, even for customers living in countries where the tax was required. The additional amount only appeared during checkout, meaning the final cost could be higher than the price initially shown in the store. The new system makes both amounts visible earlier in the purchasing process.
According to iRacing, the updated pricing display applies exclusively to customers outside the United States. Where VAT is required, the store now shows the base price alongside the total including the applicable tax. The full amount will continue to appear at checkout, just as it did before the change.
This adjustment should be particularly useful for European players who regularly purchase additional cars and circuits. Instead of calculating the tax separately or waiting until checkout, users can now see the actual amount they will need to pay when browsing eligible content.
