Rennsport Adds Aston Martin Valkyrie LMH Hypercar

The team behind Rennsport just announced that the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH hypercar is coming to the game, and people going to the SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt will get to drive it first this weekend.

While most modern top-class endurance race cars use smaller turbo engines with electric hybrid batteries, the Valkyrie is totally old-school. It runs a huge 6.5-liter V12 engine with no hybrid system at all.

All V12, No Hybrid
  • Powered by a screaming 6.5-liter Cosworth V12 engine with no turbochargers.
  • No electric battery modes to worry about while you are racing.
  • Big tunnels under the floor suck the car down to the track in fast corners.

Easily one of the best-sounding race cars in the world right now.

First Laps in Frankfurt
  • Set up for public hotlap challenges at the Rennsport booth in Hall 12.
  • Shows off the latest physics and lighting updates for the PC and console versions.
  • Will roll out to everyone at home in the next big Rennsport update.

Pairs up nicely with Simagic's new replica Valkyrie wheel announced this week.

What Makes It Different to Drive

Because there is no hybrid motor helping slow the front wheels down when you hit the brakes, stopping the Valkyrie takes a steady left foot. You have to step hard on the brake at high speed and slowly ease off as you turn into slow corners so you do not lock the front tires.
