Following its earlier Aston Martin Valkyrie teaser, Rennsport pulled the covers off its complete Hypercar Expansion Pack on stage at the 2026 SimRacing Expo in Frankfurt, confirming four factory endurance prototypes alongside a major physics and telemetry update.
The expansion brings modern multi-manufacturer prototype racing to the platform and pairs the new cars with one of the community's most requested technical features: built-in SimHub telemetry integration. Full pack details are now live on Rennsport's official website.
Hyundai Motorsport's Genesis endurance prototype makes its sim racing debut alongside Lamborghini's twin-turbo V8 SC63 LMDh, both featuring rear-axle spec hybrid deployment and custom cockpit dash pages.
Toyota's multi-time Le Mans-winning all-wheel-drive GR010 Hybrid joins the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter Cosworth V12 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH, giving drivers two completely different power delivery philosophies in the same class.
Reworked Hypercar Physics and Class Balance
Adding four top-tier prototypes required more than just 3D models and engine audio. Rennsport's physics team used the Frankfurt showcase to detail a ground-up revision to how the sim handles high-downforce prototype tires, aerodynamic pitch sensitivity over bumps, and class Balance of Performance (BoP).
In earlier builds, prototype tires could feel overly peaky when sliding past their slip angle limit in slow chicanes. The updated tire model widens the catchable window under trail braking while accurately separating the four-wheel-drive traction of the Toyota GR010 from the pure mechanical grip of the non-hybrid Valkyrie.
- Revised high-speed aero map that prevents sudden rear-end snap over fast elevation changes.
- Authentic hybrid activation speeds and battery regeneration under braking.
- Balanced lap-time parity across all four prototypes and existing LMDh cars.
- Plug-and-play UDP telemetry output without third-party memory hooks.
- Full support for external DDU dash screens, wheel shift LEDs, and flag matrices.
- Direct telemetry feeds for pedal haptics, bass shakers, and belt tensioners.
Why Native SimHub Support Matters for Home Rigs
While four headlining Hypercars grab the spotlight, adding native SimHub support is arguably the most important quality-of-life upgrade Rennsport has shipped this year. Anyone running an external dashboard screen, custom wheel LEDs, or bass shakers can now jump straight into a Hypercar stint with all their gear working out of the box.
